The NIC School Overview will be on December 9th, 2023, from 9am to 2pm in Montgomery. Invitations will be e-mailed out November 8.

Class I Barbers are exempt from ABOCB’s statutory authority.  Class I Barbering is defined as shaving or trimming the beard or trimming the hair.  Shops employing only Class I Barbers are not required to obtain a shop license.

In response to the shortage of disinfectant wipes during the pandemic in 2020, the NIC Executive Board temporarily authorized all practical test centers to accept "best attempt" or "simulated product" for disinfectant wipes.

You are required to send in a photo when getting your license. Keep in mind, not all photos will be accepted!
