The Alabama Legislature has passed Senate Bill 183 (SB183), which makes important changes to the regulation of certain hair services in the state.
Written comments about the following proposed rule changes may be made to ABOC, P.O. Box 301750, Montgomery, AL 36130 or to cosmetology@aboc.alabama.gov until 5:00 PM on January 5, 2026.
The Alabama Board of Cosmetology is moving to a new and improved system to handle online personal license renewals. Our new system is designed to be much easier to use and access, and we plan to add more functionality to it in the future.
